Ford Recalls Over 400 Thousand Vehicles—Find Out if Your Car Is Affected

Ford owners, beware—the company has issued another safety recall over a hefty number of vehicles.
The new recall expands on one from 2021, increasing the number of affected vehicles from 228,000 to 462,000—382,000 of which are located in the United States—as reported by Reuters.
Vehicles included in the recall may have their video output fail, preventing the rearview camera image from displaying. Vehicles affected include some 2020-2023 Explorers and Lincoln Aviators, as well as some 2020-2022 Lincoln Corsairs equipped with 360-degree cameras.
17 minor crashes related to the issue have been reported, as have over 2,100 warranty claims, but no injuries have been reported thus far. Owners of affected vehicles can schedule service at their local dealership, where they will update the image processing module software. If your vehicle was serviced under the original recall, it'll still need the new update.
Owners should be notified by letter toward the end of February. Owners can also check any recall alerts for their vehicle by entering their VIN on Ford's recall support site; the automaker also recently recalled over half a million vehicles over a fire risk.
